2009 Ironman in Cozumel, Mexico

On November 29, 2009, Arlington resident Stephen Carlson competed in the first Ironman Cozumel Triathlon. Over the course of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run, Carlson competed against athletes from around the world, challenging his personal levels of endurance and dedication. Carlson’s participation benefited Global Water by donating a portion of his donations towards water and sanitation projects.
